Winning Group expands into NZ & launches two Winning Services DCs Title image

Leading Australian retail entity, Winning Group, has officially launched two Winning Services, distribution centres, one in Victoria and another in New Zealand, expanding its third party logistics offering and presence outside of Australia.

Located in Waitemata Ports in Auckland, the 6000 sqm Winning Services DC completely mitigates middle mile logistics costs and decreases supply chain lead times for third party logistics partners. With 18 loading docks, the DC will service the greater Auckland area, offering partners a world-class warehousing solution and a delivery service.

The new Altona North DC is 45,000sqm, 35,000sqm larger than the Group’s previous DC and has 55 loading docks, an increase from 8 loading docks. The Altona North DC will service the Group’s businesses Appliances Online, Winning Appliances, Rogerseller and Home Clearance and third party logistics partners, including King Living, iFit Health and Fitness and Sub-Zero & Wolf.

Ryan Fritsch, COO, Winning Group commented, "With some of the highest Net Promoter Scores in the world for logistics, Winning Services is a leader in big and bulky warehousing and end mile customer experience. Logistics has been at the core of the Group’s success and we are incredibly proud to launch Winning Services in New Zealand, our first market outside of Australia and launch our largest DC in the Group’s history, in Victoria. Both DCs will help to continue the Group’s solid double digit growth and provide our customers and 3PL partners in Australia and New Zealand, with our legendary care and exceptional service.”

Mick Bunt, General Manager Operations, Winning Group said: “Our new Winning Services DCs, uniquely allow us to provide free next day delivery to Victorians and completely mitigate middle mile logistics costs in Auckland for big and bulky retailers. Our Auckland DC is ideally located within the Port, allowing us to destuff stock, including MPI clearance, coming into the Ports of Auckland, store, dispatch and deliver stock straight to Auckland based customers. We are also servicing delivery outside greater Auckland, by facilitating the dispatch of goods ready for line haul. We are currently providing 3PL services for a leading furniture retailer and we look forward to building our Winning Services logistics network and working with big and bulky retailers in New Zealand.

“Our world-class Altona North DC, was purpose-built over the past 12 months. Its location has been carefully chosen to ensure that our Victorian customers and third party logistics partners continue to receive our industry-leading, free next day delivery through our own fleet of trucks. We would like to thank our building and construction partners Aliro, ISPT and Qanstruct, for delivering an amazing facility that we are proud of and that will support the future growth of our business. We have a company mission to provide the best shopping experience in the world and our logistics and end mile customer experience is integral to the Winning Group and Winning Services, having a world-leading Net Promoter Score of over 80”, said Mr Bunt.
